A reduction in inflammation and a sound lifestyle is better than all the medication in the world. However, chocolate can aid these attributes too!
The findings from this study provide the support that a healthy diet is more important in people with depression than medication, with the same results as those that have medication.
From the Netherlands comes this study about an “investigation into the effects of chocolate on mood”. The researchers discovered that when you eat “a meal high in chocolate”, your brain releases serotonin which makes you feel much better after eating it.
They recommend a daily intake of at least 100 grams of chocolate which can help lower blood sugar levels, prevent cancer and improve moods. The study was published in the International Journal Of Food Science And Nutrition.
