A winning attitude

Attitude has a lot to do with your success and your ability to achieve what you want to achieve.  Your Russian is tested every day.

Let's take a look at some practical strategies that will help build your confidence.

Six confidence-building strategies

(1) Remind yourself every day:

Think about what didn't work or think about the tasks you didn't complete.  Focus on what you have accomplished.

At least I don't do it.  Coach yourself.  Just as you would help and support someone else to overcome a challenge.

(2) Studying inspiring biographies:

We want to reinforce this once again.  Read books. Read articles and magazines. Make a file of stories that inspire you.

Watch movies. There are many wonderful stories in them.

I look for people who started with nothing, or who have been through struggles and setbacks and still found a way to win.

Remember that your current level of performance is far beyond that level of your potential.  Life without challenges is a deception and an illusion.

Accept the fact that you will go through ups and downs just like everyone else.  Your confidence increases when you proactively accept life's challenges.  You can't win everything but with the right attitude, you will win more than enough.

(3) Be grateful:

Even though your circumstances may be appreciative, there may be someone whose circumstances are probably worse than yours.

Think of all the things you take for granted that are not available in other countries.

Most of your problems will be solved when you repeat in your mind the benefits that you enjoy every day.

(4) Building great support around you:

If you need support, do it by building great relationships as mentioned on the previous pages.  Refresh your memory by reviewing it.

(5) Accomplishing short-term goals:

There is no greater way to build trust than to get things done.  Focus your attention on your three most important goals by creating an environment of accomplishment each week.

Do something every day that will move you closer to finishing a project or closing a cell or expanding a relationship.

Never focus or be distracted.  By doing this, you will eliminate feelings of guilt and failure. Take one small step at a time.

Get reassurance that these small goals are realistic.  Self-rejection can shake your confidence, and shatter it.

But cursing yourself at the moment avoid when things don't go according to plan. Show respect and don't take offense when others say 'no' to you. Accept the fact that sometimes you have to lose before you can win.

(6) Do something good for yourself every week:

Find a way to celebrate your weekly successes. Don't you deserve it? If you said "no" then go back to step number one and start again!
