Pakistan won the bronze medal on the first day of Tent Pegging World Cup.

 

Pakistan's Nasir Abbas won the bronze medal on the first day of the Tent Pegging World Cup in South Africa.

On the first day of the George Tent Pegging World Cup 2023 in the city of South Africa, there were a total of 7 runs in the lance category, of which 2, 2 for individual and pair, and 3 for the team.

At the end of the first day's competitions, Nasir Abbas of Pakistan won the third position and won the bronze medal in the individual lance players, while the gold and silver medals went to Saudi Arabian equestrians.

Nasir Abbas skilfully speared his target in every run of the individual, pair, and team and brought it across the line for a total of 42 points, Both riders from Saudi Arabia also had 42 points but based on speed.  Both got the upper hand over Nasir.

After the first day's competitions, Jordan was the first, Saudi Arabia was the second and Egypt was the third in the total points of the team, Pakistan's position was the fifth.

Pakistan scored a total of 144 points, Pakistan was in a position to finish in the top three but at one point, Wajahatullah missed his target in the team run, which left Pakistan behind by 6 points, Wajahat and Fanwat in the individual run.  had also made mistakes, otherwise, Pakistan's position could have been much better.

On the second day of the event, there will be 7 runs of sword, followed by 6 runs of ring and peg on the third day, which includes 2, 2 runs of ring and peg, lemon and peg, and relay.

The world champion team will be decided after a total of 20 runs of different categories in the Tent Pegging World Cup.
