Russia thwarts Ukraine's invasion of Crimea, claims 42 drones shot down.

The Russian Defense Ministry has claimed that the Russian Air Defense has shot down 42 drones shot down by Ukraine over Crimea.

According to foreign media, Russia accused Ukraine of continuous drone attacks, saying that Ukraine launched drone attacks on Crimea early this morning, of which 42 drones were shot down by air defense on Crimea, while one missile attacked.  In the Kaluga region, it was also rendered ineffective.

The Russian Defense Ministry says nine drones were destroyed by air defense forces while 33 were killed by electronic warfare that crashed over Crimea before reaching their targets.

On this occasion, the governor of Crimea said in a Telegram message that several drones had been destroyed in the suburbs of Sevastopol and Kherson.

Russian officials say that currently no casualties have been caused in the drone attacks and no destruction has been caused by these attacks, however, the flight operations at the airports were stopped for some time.
