Eggs are a great source of lean protein, which helps add protein to your diet. They’re also an excellent source of choline, which plays a critical role in the production of acetylcholine –the neurotransmitter that controls memory, muscle movement, and mood.

Eggs are an excellent source of protein, vitamin B-12, choline, and vitamin D. They’re also a good source of magnesium and phosphorus. Egg yolks provide the most amount of choline per serving. 

A large egg has about 23 grams of protein (about 8 grams in each egg white), whereas only 7 grams are in an equivalent portion of red meat or poultry. Some other nutrients found in eggs include thiamine, riboflavin, iron, and zinc.

 Many people believe that a large egg contains more cholesterol than other types of breakfast foods such as muffins, bagels, or toast, but while they contain a small amount of saturated fat they also have an amount of good bi-carbohydrate cholesterol and are good for you.
